Hyronomous A. Frog doesn't fit in with the other frogs in the bog; he's much larger and has no taste for flies! Gloria the Good Witch reveals that a maiden's kiss is needed to lift the curse that transformed him from a prince into a frog. So he travels to Spamalot and.....!

(sorry, frog in our throat - you'll just have to watch the show to find out!)

The mission of MCT is to spark imaginations by presenting professional quality children’s theatre on a consistent basis. We have been staging a variety of artistic performances in Austin since 1975. We believe our artists and performers deserve to have a platform from which they can share their creative and innovative works. And we thank you for joining us today for yet another creative and innovative work, all thanks to these gracious adults and talented kiddos!

Please take a moment to visit our Keep Our Spark Alive page and learn about the current hardship we are working hard to overcome. We also welcome an encouraging conversation of ideas and support, and always looking for more volunteers!

We are in desperate need of another $40,000 in order to not close our doors. Please consider a contribution in any way you can, and we are forever grateful.

THANK YOU TO OUR PATRONS!

We have seen so much support of all kinds, especially in connection with our “Keep Our Spark Alive” fund drive as we navigate this challenging time. Equipment, volunteer help, monetary, a listening ear, and wonderful word of mouth. Thank you thank you thank you!

Teens grades (going into) 8th-12th approved to be in our Summer Troupe program are given the opportunity to rise to the challenge to advance their theatre skills. Meeting every Monday and Tuesday starting after Independence Day, they create their very own showcase to perform for the public in August! As part of our mission, we strive to help youth learn important social skills and build self-esteem, confidence, and creative thinking. They also learn the importance of teamwork and respect, while serving in the community. Our passionate instructors provide a safe and supportive environment for the students to grow in all areas of their acting skills. Here at Matchbox, we are more than just a theatre program, we are a theatre family. You will definitely experience that at Summer Troupe!
