2021 - 2022 PATRON LETTER
Dear friend of MCT,
We are optimistic about having a season this year!
We know that we will probably still have to make adjustments to keep our family and friends safe, but by golly we will have a season!
Matchbox is over the moon to announce our 47th season. Halloween Warmup, All Together Now, Yes Virginia There is a Santa Claus, A Sherlock Holmes Radio Mystery radio show, and The Magician's Nephew. All of the dates, times, and locations will be on our website. It may not look like it has in the past but we are excited to share it with you! Our time at the Historic Paramount Theatre has served us well but as we all try to manage what the future looks like, Matchbox just isn't able to afford the space without guarantee of student performances. With new variants, rising cases, and a shortage of bus drivers it is hard to assume the schools will be able to have field trips. So we pivot!
First United Methodist Church has the perfect facilities for us to rent this year as we move towards finding a new building and growing our education program. We will be able to host all of our classes, camps, rehearsals, and performances in one place!! There is handicapped accessibility throughout and we're still near our costume inventory until our old building sells. We will have MORE room to offer MORE classes, opportunities for performing, and sparking imaginations!
As always we are accepting donations, sponsorships, and looking for fun collaborations to fundraise. You can also help out by checking out our Amazon Wish List; an easy way to make sure our classes and camps have what they need. Visit our Support page for all the ways you can donate. Never hesitate to reach out to us - we love talking about Matchbox and all the ways we can grow together. While we are always on the hunt for grants and funding opportunities, the generosity from our community is what helps keep us going. Any amount helps and is always appreciated!
We look forward to seeing you at classes, camps, performances or out in the community! Don't forget we are always looking for new Board members, committee members and volunteers. Our community is what makes us great!
Sincerely,
Jen Wiebrand
