Christmas in the
Land of Oz
By Tamara Tudor
Directed by Becca Couch
Stage Managers Renae Clark & Cleo Carlson
Presented through special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Services, Inc.
The Wicked Witch of the Northwest becomes the grinch of this delightful holiday play when she steals Christmas from Munchkinland. It takes all your Oz favorites — Dorothy and Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man, the Lion, and the Munchkins to bring the yuletide holiday back. In the process, the Tin Man recovers his sense of humor, the lonely Lion finds a lady companion, and Dorothy finds the spirit of Christmas to take back to Kansas for Auntie Em and Uncle Henry.
The mission of MCT is to spark imaginations by presenting professional quality children’s theatre on a consistent basis. We have been staging a variety of artistic performances in Austin since 1975. We believe our artists and performers deserve to have a platform from which they can share their creative and innovative works. And we thank you for joining us today for yet another creative and innovative work, all thanks to these gracious adults and talented kiddos!

Feel inspired to come play with us?
Hey teens, here's your chance! And we're looking for our next director, too!
Shakespeare's
Twelfth Night
by William Shakespeare
Director TBA
Asst Director TBA
Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare, written around 1601, is an entertaining comedy that navigates the themes of love, mistaken identity, and the topsy-turvy nature of human relationships. Set in the fictional kingdom of Illyria, the play follows the twins Viola and Sebastian, who are separated in a shipwreck. And oh my, the mixup of shenanigans that ensue, more tangled than the wrecked ship's fishing nets!
Join us for this hilarious modernized spin, sprinkled with old English and new, that keeps the whole audience, regardless of age, connected, unknowingly gaining a Shakespearean education...and, of course, giggling!
