As a nonprofit dedicated to heartfelt-quality children’s theatre and arts education, we’re growing our team and looking for enthusiastic, big-picture thinkers and detail-loving doers to join the fun. We’re currently hiring for three exciting roles: Executive Director, Administrative Assistant, and a Director for our Spring Production of Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night". We also have board vacancies to fill for marketing, law, finance, and building & grounds.

Executive Director

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive of the organization, responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing operational management, securing funding through fundraising, and fostering community engagement.
This role is ideal for a dynamic, compassionate, visionary leader who thrives in creative environments, is passionate about youth theatre arts education, and understands the need for MCT to be a welcome place for all. This position reports to the Matchbox Children’s Theatre’s Board of Directors.
Administrative Assistant
Part time
30 hours/wk
Temporary 2-3 Months (with potential for long term)
Salary $30k
The administrative assistant ensures the effective day-to-day operation of the office by providing professional and courteous administrative support to the organization, which includes the Board of Directors and staff members as required.
Spring show Director
March - May 2026
The Show Director brings Shakespeare's Twelfth Night to life for young performers and audiences by guiding the cast through storytelling, character, movement, and teamwork. They help children understand Shakespeare’s comedy in a fun, age-appropriate way, shaping scenes, blocking, and pacing while encouraging creativity and confidence. The director works closely with the production team of their choice to create a joyful, imaginative rehearsal process and a polished, engaging performance.
